It’s day 6 of our 30 Days of May Challenge : Trucks, Trucks, Trucks.

We are down at Truckfest at the East of England Showground and you’ve got plenty time to get yourself down here today. If you’re interested in any kind of trucks, it really is right up your street, however, there are other things to do too.

The sun is out and there is plenty of walking around to be done so you can get those 10,000 steps in easily. Besides trucks there are vintage fire engines to look round, American styled trucks in all their spray paint glory, some vintage cars including a lovely bright red Stingray, a drag racing car, and much more. There are a complete variety of stalls from hats to sweets, from gins to charity and from car registrations to Truckfest Memorabilia. So come with a bit of money in your pocket for some shopping.

In the main ring the sun had started to shine and there were some monster truck riding and then it was Slinger zooming around the course, however, after turning his vehicle off it wouldn’t get started again so … the show must go on and we were treated to an early showing of Brokefmx doing some chilling tricks in mid-air for all the crowd. An amazing stunt display – which really was the highlight of the day.

Truckfest is ideal for all the family with plenty of spots for the kids to take a photo including a mini movie trucks ride, they’ve even got a complete fairground with all the rides that you could want for teenagers to keep them busy too.

The main showground has lots going on and we will be posting photos throughout our visit.

We didn’t stay for the slot of Harry Redknapp as the clouds were coming over and it was getting chilly. We had a snack and drink from one of the many food vehicles there, listened to a bit of music by the Little Mix copy band and then trotted off home.
