Opening Friday 4th is the 11th UK store for Karak Chaii

Never heard of them? Read on…Open 7am to 11pm they are offering an all day breakfast like the Masala omelette toastie, lunch and dinner hot food… but they do a fabulous cup of chai! Whether it’s hot or cold it’s sweet, however, Karak Chaii can also be served sugar free.
“Its love a first sip.” Their story is that after travelling throughout many cities in the Indian subcontinent, and throughout the Middle East, We have brewed the perfect cup of chaii!
They have on their menu a host of street food dishes like a Bombay sandwich, butter chicken, chilli paneer, aloo tikki, chilli cheese bites or even a samosa cone!
Tonight we tried a selection of samosas, aloo tikki, samosa chaat to start. Very tasty little bites as a great beginning of the experience. The main tasters were chicken kebab roll, vadapav, keema mutter with masala chips and because I don’t like spicy they toned everything down which was brilliant.

As a finale we had some fab desserts which were Nutella bites, red velvet bites, Karak chaii ice cream, and a vanilla milk cake with pink tea. This was my favourite as it tasted just like a normal sponge with a buttercream until you poured the pink tea over it. The pink tea tastes a bit like a hot strawberry milkshake but when poured over the cake is transformed…Absolutely delicious.
Throughout the evening they had a guest appearance from Jessica Bollywood playing the violin. (You might of heard of her from The Voice it X-factor.)

I’m sure the business will do well from the taste of everything. It’s based on Lincoln Road in Millfield opposite the bus depot.
