Tai Chi for Social Impact – 5 Year Anniversary Celebration

This event marks five years of our Tai Chi for Wellbeing programmes, delivered through the Chinese Community in Peterborough – CCIP, which was honoured to receive The King’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2023 and is proudly celebrating its 15th anniversary.
Over the past five years, we have reached over 20,800 people, supporting individuals from diverse communities to improve physical and mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build stronger social connections.

Peterborough Cathedral has played a truly central role in this journey. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support over the years, and have been privileged to:
deliver Tai Chi sessions inside the Cathedral

The Event:

• Tai chi practise on the Cathedral grounds
• host activities in the Cathedral Conference Centre
• celebrate key moments together, including Chinese New Year and the King’s Award for Voluntary Service
• This celebration is as much about recognising the Cathedral’s support as it is about the impact of the programme.
• The event will bring together participants, community leaders, partners, and supporters to:
• share real stories of impact and transformation
• reflect on the difference made across communities
• take part in a gentle Tai Chi taster session
• It would be wonderful to have staff, volunteers, and colleagues from across the Cathedral—including marketing, events, and wider teams—join us for this special occasion.
