Are you ready for tonight’s Christmas lights?
I’ve just been to Flag Fens first Christmas lights trial. Called the Ancient Lights Illumination Trail, it runs through the prehistoric parkland. It started tonight and the display will run through to Thursday 16th December.
You will get to see a range of different coloured lights illuminating the surrounding trees and foliage and of course the bronze age roundhouse will be decorated with lights and a fairy light roof.
On your way round there are small bonfires like the one at the start in the centre of the Yule Tree Dell. On one of the longer light trails I spotted Santa warming his hands!!!
Children go free, adult tickets are £15 each and a car parking ticket is £10 per vehicle.
BIG TIP: TAKE YOUR WELLIES!!! You will need them. Although there are paths with bark and gravel there are also some very muddy areas.
LITTLE TIP: warm clothing including gloves would be a benefit as it is cold due to being very open and for some areas a small torch or the torch on your smart phone may be useful.
