#FIRST LOOK inside Katana Peterborough…
It looks amazing with 3 Teppanyaki grill spaces for you to sit at and enjoy watching food cooked before your eyes for a fabulous experience.
A downstairs bubbles bar draws you in and is where you can have cocktails before you eat, or whilst you eat from that particular menu. The space looks enormous due to a clever mirroring effect, but it’s lovely and cosy with booths and tables depending on your party size.
If you have something to celebrate or a large group you can use their private room ‘Sakura Suite’ which is beautifully set out and caters for between 10 and 20 people. (Ask for hire prices)
Then back upstairs into the main dining area and there really is plenty of space to sit either on small booths, tables or the teppanayaki grill areas.
At the launch we were treated to different sushi, then from the Teppanyaki grill we have egg fried rice from fresh as well as cooked prawns and chicken, washed down with a glass of prosecco. The experience is something new for Peterborough, I’ve not seen the menu or prices yet, but hopefully it’s not too expensive to cater for everyone’s pocket.
It’s not a brand new concept as Katana is also available in Spalding as an alternative, but Peterborough’s venue is huge.
It’s taken the place of the charity shop which was there and before that, Gaston’s (If you remember Peter Boizot’s pizza restaurant) – you’ll find it sandwiched between Central library and the New Theatre.
They are doing a soft opening by invite only from now until it opens to the public on 15th December 2022
