There’s a wonderful new experience to be had right in the centre of town:
Bean Around BE.AR. are now open at the weekend evenings offering a menu of charcuterie boards to enjoy with a selection of wines.
You can choose to sit outside and enjoy the mild evenings under cover (good in case it rains) or sit inside.
The outside seating area is all lit in fairy lights and roped off for privacy. Walk-ins may be available dependent on bookings availability. We arrived for 6:30pm. We were greeted and seated at our table where we ordered wine, beers & soft drinks while we browsed the menu.
On the menu you’ll find a variety of sharing boards or individual plates with tasty items like salame finocchiona, taleggio cheese with truffles, marinated artichokes, Gorgonzola dolce, mortadella all pistacchio, mixed olives, provolone, pecorino and lots more to make your mouth water. As a group of 6 we opted for 3 Italian sharing boards at £28.99 each which comes with 2 glasses of wine.
Everything looked gorgeous on arrival accompanied with fresh breads, oils and balsamic and we tucked in. As the sun set the fairy lights really come in to their own and give it a lovely cosy feel. We all opted to add a dessert… mine a chocolate (melt in the middle) warm pasticciotto, others had toffee profiterole cheesecake or Italian cannoli. Followed by an end of the evening cappuccino, americano or espresso.
All in all a great evening for a wonderfully relaxing get together or romantic meal with something different. The staff, as always, were very attentive and of course owners Giusi & Gareth are excited about their new venture and give it 100%.
There are limited bookable tables for this niche experience. You’ll need a deposit to book, which both secured your table and reduces no shows. Visit their facebook or Instagram page or call in to book yours for Friday or Saturday evenings.
