The 26th annual charity race takes place at the Peterborough Rowing Club at Thorpe Meadows.

Over 60 teams will compete on a 200m sprint course to raise funds for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice. Each 30m boat accommodates up to 10 people, with a dedicated drummer at the front beating time and our skille dhelm at the tail ensuring a straight course. No prior experience is necessary if you want to join in and get a team on the water.

Family friendly – everyone is welcome

• Exact timings for 2026 are TBC. Racing at the 2025 event ran from 10am-4pm.
• 2026 race schedule will be released w/c 18th May 2026
• Dogs are allowed
• Bring cash for funfair but caterers will accept card
• Come and say hello and get a souvenir programme from the NewWave Events Gazebo!

The event includes an array of bankside food stalls, a funfair and activities, and a planned aircraft flypast.
